Day 38

The days are definitely blurring together. I tend to get Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday mixed up. I had meant to write a list of things that are scarce at stores, but here is what I can remember. Toilet paper was, confusingly, what people tended to hoard before the quarantine began. It's still very difficult to find in stores. Bleach and hand sanitizer are usually out of stock. Meat is another big one that's often difficult to find, so lots of people have been looking to butchers and farmers markets for meat (which is good for those vendors).

Yeast and flour are often in low supply, as I suppose lots of people are baking or making their own bread. Local restaurants are selling toilet paper, yeast, flour, pantry staples in addition to takeout food only. You prepay online when you order and then pickup outside the restaurant in a low/no contact format. I haven't actually gone to any store in over 6 weeks, as K needs to get out more so he does the shopping.
