Days 23-25

April 7-9: After a nice weekend, it's been a rough middle of the week. We had some really good weather thankfully, but other than that things have been challenging. The first Alexandria death was confirmed on Monday. The overall death toll is now over 16000 in the US. Today (Thursday) all PA schools closed for the remainder of the year, which wasn't surprising. DC is set to become a "hotspot" for the virus. The CDC has now recommended that everyone wear masks when out of the house, so people are starting to make their own.

Trying to spend as much time outside as possible (at a safe social distance from others) is the best we can do right now. I went for a difficult jog in the wind today with G. It's hard to get off of technology when so much of the work I need to do (even ordering groceries, shopping, paying bills) is all online. It's also hard to find any down time, even over this supposed spring break of mine. Back to "teaching" on Monday.
