Day 46-49
We are getting pretty sick of the rain. I saw a meme on Facebook that pretty much sums it up: Oh look, the virus is still here and it's raining again.
Thursday was alright -- busy with teaching and juggling everything as usual. We ordered some more food from the farmers' market to pick up on Saturday. We also started watching a good cartoon called "The Dragon Prince." It feels a lot like "Avatar -- The Last Airbender" with some of the same voice actors and writers.
On Friday morning, K went to the grocery store and got a lot of food for us, plus some things for my older neighbor/former student. I need to try to make baby G a birthday cake, so we'll see how that turns out.
On Saturday morning, K went to the farmers' market and stood in the usual line. He tries to go early because the lines are very long, although the managers do the very best to keep things moving. I was super excited for the first spring strawberries, but unfortunately I think our vendor got them from elsewhere -- they didn't taste or look local. I'll try another vendor next week. The day was beautiful and I went for a jog with baby G. K was in the kitchen the entire day prepping food. He was particularly excited for ramps and morels from the farmers' market. We ended the evening with a lovely date night dinner and some cartoons.
Sunday was mostly a good day, with some occasional rain and storms. We went on lots of walks and spent time with baby G. I finished her birthday cake trial run -- it's awfully sweet, so I'm not sure if I'll keep that recipe or not.
